Ms. Peterson has 36 years of professional experience, with 21 years as a Food and Beverage Manger of Whispering Winds. In the course of her duties, she is responsible for managing and supervising the staff of Whispering Winds. Prior to joining Whispering Winds, Ms. Peterson worked as the head cook of the Cross Roads Cafe from 1987 until 1991. She also worked at a Christian retreat in cooking and baking with Chef Ina Steiniger from 1985 until 1987. She attributes her success to her family background, having become involved in her profession because of her interest in the food and beverage field. The highlight of her career has been working with the casino for over 20 years in the food and beverage department, working her way up from the bottom. She has been a food and beverage manager from January 4th, 2001 to 2012 in the same department.

As a culinary expert, Ms. Peterson's education in the field has been extensive, beginning with her graduation from a chef's training class in 1985. In 1992, Ms. Peterson completed a gourmet cooking class, which was taught by Patti Cook. She has been certified serve safe since 1999. In addition, she has completed a personal development seminar, budget training classes, and training in drug-free workforce enforcement. In 2012, Ms. Peterson was presented with a 20-year service award from Shooting Star Casino, which she adds to the numerous certificates and awards of achievement that she has already received through the casino. In years to come, Ms. Peterson hopes to have continued growth.
