Robert M. Benjaminson Recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for Excellence in Chemical Engineering

    SACRAMENTO, CA, May 31, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Robert M. Benjaminson, Air Quality Engineer II for the Bureau of Automotive Repair of the State of California, has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in chemical engineering.

For the past 39 years, Mr. Benjaminson has been working to keep the air we breathe clean. As an air quality engineer II for the state of California, he employs his thorough knowledge of exhaust gas analysis technology to test cars and control automotive tailpipe emissions.

Mr. Benjaminson earned a Master of Business Administration from Northeastern University in addition to a Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He started his career as a designer in the private sector and then moved on to specifying and testing gas analyzer performance for the state government. He successfully saved one of his employers 35 percent of redesign costs, a feat he names as the highlight of his career.

Mr. Benjaminson is also the chief executive officer of Vehicular-Smogless Air For Ethiopia. V-SAFE for short, it is a nonprofit organization established in 2009 by a trio of engineers with the goal of alleviating vehicle-related pollution in Ethiopia's major cities.
