Kathleen Broer Van Arragon Inducted into Worldwide Who's Who for Excellence in Music Education

    WATERLOO, ONTARIO, CANADA, June 6, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Kathleen Broer Van Arragon, Teacher of the Waterloo Region District School Board, has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in education.

Ms. Broer has nearly 23 years of experience as a teacher of the Waterloo Region District School Board. She is particularly skilled in teaching children from other countries to be able to sing in English. In the course of her duties, she is responsible for teaching music to children from ages four through 13, and preparing 19 pieces of music for the school year. Ms. Broer attributes her success to her supportive family. She became involved in her profession because she had an inspiring conductor and teacher when she auditioned for her choir.

In addition to her work with the Waterloo Region District School Board, Ms. Broer has held positions with many groups and organizations. Among these groups are Wilfrid Laurier University, the University of Toronto, the Hamilton Children's Choir, Immanuel CRC's Children's Choir, Knox Presbyterian's Chancel Choir, and Highland Baptist's Chancel Choir.

Ms. Broer studied at Calvin College, Western University, and Wilfrid Laurier University. She is a member of the Ontario Music Educators' Association. To give back to her community, she serves as a volunteer of First United of Waterloo Church. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, reading, traveling, and attending her children's concerts. In years to come, Ms. Broer is not sure what awaits her, but she is open to many opportunities.
