Gail P. Bender, MD, Named a Worldwide Who's Who Professional of the Year for Excellence in Oncology

    MINNEAPOLIS, June 7, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- 2013, Dr. Gail Bender has been named a Worldwide Who's Who Professional of the Year in Oncology. Dr. Bender has 34 years of experience as an oncologist. In the course of her duties, she is responsible for working independently as an oncologist, seeing patients and offering treatment options. She is currently employed by Fairview Hospitals, the Mayo Clinic Health System, and the Waconia Ridgeview Medical Center. Dr. Bender attributes her success to her passion for her work and patients. She became involved in her profession because she has always found the medical profession exciting, and she enjoys helping provide medical care to her patients. In addition, she loves getting to know her patients personally, and she works with each one to craft an individualized treatment plan that is right for them.

Dr. Bender received an MD from the University of Minnesota Medical School in 1975, and she has completed a residency at the University of Minnesota, and a fellowship at The Ohio State University. To remain in contact with other health care professionals, she became a member of the Minneapolis Medical Association and the American Society of Clinical Oncology. In years to come, Dr. Bender hopes to observe her patients enjoying longer and better lives from the new drugs available for the management of cancer.
