Logan S. Wilks Inducted into Worldwide Who's Who for Excellence in Business Operations

    TUSCALOOSA, AL, June 6, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Logan Wilks, President of the Alpha Rho Chapter of Alpha Kappa Psi Fraternity at the University of Alabama, has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in business operations.

Alpha Kappa Psi is a professional business fraternity that provides valuable educational, leadership, friendship and networking opportunities within the business community. Recently reelected as president of his chapter, Mr. Wilks hopes to achieve growth and success for the fraternity in the coming year. Recognized for his accomplishments, Mr. Wilks received the Alpha Award for outstanding leadership.

Mr. Wilks has been in business for a few years, most recently as president of Alpha Kappa Psi. His areas of expertise include leadership, public speaking, business management, investments and financial analysis. Overall, his responsibilities as president include overseeing his fellow officers, running the daily operations of the chapter, managing meetings, planning events and setting goals. In addition to his role with Alpha Kappa Psi, Mr. Wilks works as a financial analyst for Culverhouse Investment Management Group at the university, which manages a fund of more than $400,000, as well as in management with his family's business, Wilks Tire & Battery Service. Prior to his recent activities, he worked as a venture development intern for the University of Alabama Office of Information Technology and as an intern for Citizens Bank & Trust.

Attributing his success to his father, Mr. Wilks became involved in his profession because he was proactive in his college career. He also credits his father for preparing him for life and encouraging him to pursue his career goals. Mr. Wilks anticipates receiving his degree in accounting, finance and economics in 2014. In his spare time, he volunteers with organizations such as Habitat for Humanity International and the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, and enjoys playing the piano, tennis, reading and writing. In the years to come, Mr. Wilks plans to pursue a Master of Business Administration and move into the corporate world in investment management.
