NORTH VANCOUVER, BC, June 13, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- TapSnap, the phototainment sensation that has been rocking parties and events across the nation, is now bringing its special brand of fun to events in Wichita, Kansas.
TapSnap is a new kind of phototainment for corporate events, parties and wedding - a sophisticated, open-concept photo booth that is high-tech and instantly connected to social media.
"You'd think it would be only in Los Angeles or New York City, but one of the very first franchises is right here in Kansas," said Rogier Chapon, the local TapSnap franchisee. "People are drawn to TapSnap because it looks like a giant tablet computer on a pedestal. The kids think it's super-fun. We're already taking bookings for weddings and corporate events later this year, holiday parties and even into 2014."
Guests take their picture by tapping a fingertip to the giant 42-inch multi-touch screen, draw on their photos, and add digital props like putting Brad Pitt's head in the palm of their hand or trying on a Iron Man mask for size. When they are done, they can share their creation instantly via social media networks and email, or print their photo to take home.
"TapSnap is perfect for the 21st century and what people are already doing with social media, living their lives online. It's so portable it can fit in the corner of a house, or a private room at a party," said Chapon.
Chapon has forged partnerships with Children's Miracle Network and the American Heart Association, and has already served many other events including graduation parties in Andover and Goddard, Easter Brunch at the Rolling Hills Country Club, school dances, weddings and more.
TapSnap will be at the following events:
- Andover Chamber of Commerce's Golf Tournament at Sierra Hills Golf Course on June 15.
- The Wichita Metro Chamber of Commerce premier networking event and trade show on September 19.
- The NotWedding Wichita, a bridal show alternative on October 15 in the form of a big, fake wedding that gives brides a chance to see wedding vendors in action.
- With the Children's Miracle Network: the Wichita State University Shockerthon on November 2.
Chapon is also volunteering as the Champion Ambassador for the American Heart Foundation's Men Go Red For Women campaign in Wichita, a role that has a very personal connection, and is lending his TapSnap machine at no charge for a few events to promote the cause.
"I lost my father to a massive heart attack last September without any signs or warnings and my mother struggles with heart disease and needs a heart procedure done so the issue has become very personal for me," he says. "They say laughter is the best medicine and if there's one thing TapSnap brings to the room - it's smiles."
Chapon is your classic part-time entrepreneur, working full-time as a project manager for a credit union and handling TapSnap events on evenings and weekends. Previously he worked in branding and event management for Cessna, so he's familiar with what corporate event managers are looking for when they plan events.
Scott McInnes, the CEO and Founder of TapSnap which was created in Vancouver, Canada says: "TapSnap is already active in more than 40 regions across North America and the fun is proving to be contagious. We're giving event planners and brides to have a national brand that is guaranteed to bring excitement to their events while elevating their social media profile."
