Worldwide Who's Who Names Thomas Fortune Fay, Esq. Professional of the Year in Legal Services

Inspired by Senator Taft in the early 1950's, Mr. Fay felt compelled to pursue a career in law. He enrolled at the University of Notre Dame, where he completed a Bachelor of Arts in political science. Four years later, he earned a JD at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. Upon completion of the degrees, Mr. Fay embarked on a career in legal services which has spanned the past 45 years.

As a founder and practicing lawyer for Fay Kaplan Law, P.A., Mr. Fay practices personal injury law and represents victims of international terrorism. The firm offers clients exemplary legal advice and service in areas such as personal injury, automobile accidents, medical malpractice, and terrorism. With a breadth of professional experience, Mr. Fay has dealt with more than 50 cases as lead counsel and won verdicts (or settled) on more than 100 cases. Throughout his illustrious career, Mr. Fay has taught continuing education courses in legal studies, conducted public speaking engagements, and written or edited important publications for his industry. Proficient in a multitude of professional capacities, Mr. Fay remains focused on pursuing justice for American victims of foreign terrorism.

Recognized for years of invaluable contributions to the law industry, Mr. Fay has garnered several awards. Named as the Trial Lawyer of the Year, he was honored as one of the Washington DC Super Lawyers and earned a cash prize for excellence in anti-terrorism. He was also recognized with a special commendation by The Civil Justice Foundation for earning judgments in excess of $900 million for American victims of terror. In 2009, he was inducted into Worldwide Who's Who as a lifetime member. Since his inclusion, Mr. Fay has been selected as a Professional of the Year, representing legal services, for three consecutive years. Also, his outstanding accomplishments and merit have been highlighted in an article for Pro-Files magazine. In 2011 and 2013 respectively, Mr. Fay was interviewed for the Elite Radio Network. He feels his success can be most aptly attributed to hard work and perseverance.

Mr. Fay is a member of the Trial Lawyers Association of Metropolitan Washington, DC, The District of Columbia Bar, Maryland State Bar Association Incorporated, and the American Board of Trial Advocates. Naturally philanthropic, he is a volunteer for the Peace through Law Foundation, Incorporated. In his free time, he enjoys reading historical books. Mr. Fay and his wife Patricia, a retired CPA, have three beautiful children. Their oldest son, Dr. Brendan Fay is a dentist, their younger son Donnacha Fay is a Lieutenant in the Fairfax County, Virginia Police Department, and their daughter Caragh Fay works as a lawyer for Fay Kaplan Law, P.A.
