Susanne K. Schroter Named a VIP Member of Worldwide Who's Who for Excellence in Clinical Trial Execution

    VICTORIA, BRITISH COLUMBIA, CANADA, June 14, 2013, Susanne Schroter, Executive Director Clinical Operations at PRA International, was recently named a VIP member of Worldwide Who's Who. This special distinction honors individuals who have shown exceptional commitment to achieving personal and professional success.

Ms. Schroter has over 18 years of professional experience in drug development spanning pharmaceutical and contract research organizations across Phase I-IV studies. As executive director clinical operations at PRA International, she is responsible for serving the North America clinical team, overseeing process improvement, and systems development and integration which allow project teams to optimize trial execution and provide quality deliverables. She attributes her success to her willingness to take risks, and her ability to identify business needs and step in with solutions. With a nursing background, her research interest was piqued through exposure to a clinical trial on immunosuppressant treatment for transplant recipients. She entered the industry shortly thereafter, joining a large pharmaceutical company. After gaining several years of experience on the pharmaceutical side, she took a risk and joined a startup company with a niche specialty in CNS research. This company expanded to establish a global footprint and was later acquired by PRA International. During her professional tenure, she has supported the successful integration of companies post acquisition and through the IPO process when her company went public. She has had the opportunity to lead global innovation projects, work through development and implementation of reorganizations, and lead change.

Ms. Schroter received a Bachelor of Technology in Nursing from BCIT (British Columbia Institute of Technology). She is member of the Project Management Institute and certified PMP (Project Management Professional). With a passion for travel, she has lived and worked in Spain and Australia and traveled extensively for leisure. When not at work, she enjoys a wide variety of sports and outdoor activities, most recently focusing her attention on the sport of triathlon.
