Ellen B. Greer Named a Worldwide Who's Who Executive of the Year for Excellence in Franchise Management

    WOBURN, MA, June 20, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ --Ellen Greer, Regional Director of The Maids International, New England Region, has been named a Worldwide Who's Who Executive of the Year in Franchise Management. While inclusion in Worldwide Who's Who is an honor, only a small selection of members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, years of service, and the credentials they have provided in association with their Worldwide Who's Who membership.

Ms. Greer has more than 20 years of professional experience, having recently become the Regional Director of The Maids of New England. She prides herself on her sales and financial analysis skills. In the course of her duties, she supports more than 19 franchise offices, and she keeps up with site reviews to ensure that all operate at the same high quality standards. She also regularly serves as a conduit between The Maids corporate office in Omaha, NE, and the New England franchises. Ms. Greer spent the last 20 years in the financial industry as an Institutional Equity salesperson, primarily in Boston. She switched careers in May 2012. She attributes her success to consistency and interpersonal skills. She would like to thank her father, Richard Balmas, co-founder of The Maids of New England, for giving her the opportunity to be the Regional Director. He is phasing out his responsibilities, and she is taking over. It is with pride that The Maids of New England, through years of hard work, has been awarded Boston Magazine's Best of Boston Award for Best Housecleaning Service, not only in 2012, but in 2009, 2008, 2007, 2003 and 2002 as well.

Ms. Greer received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Spanish from Lafayette College in Easton, PA in 1990. She is a member of the International Franchise Association. When she is not working, she enjoys cycling, and spending time with her family. In the years to come, Ms. Greer is looking to help maintain a healthy growth rate for the New England franchises, and round out New England by awarding the remaining territory in her region.
