Mr. Wiser, who has almost three decades of experience in the film industry, has been a filmmaker with Cinelite for the past decade. The company, which is based in Paris, France, works with a wide range of directors, cinematographers and other film professionals. In addition to Mr. Wiser, the agency represents leading French filmmakers such as Guillaume Schiffman, William Lomprez, Yaron Scharf, Pierre Stoeber and Laurent Fleutot. Besides his career as a cinematographer with the agency, Mr. Wiser writes and directs feature films, television shows, miniseries and documentaries. He also guides marketing and advertising efforts for completed films between New Delhi, Paris, and the U.S.
Mr. Wiser is cinematographer on numerous films and television programs, including The Divorce, The Messiah Bronx, The Heart to Work, Fellini: I'm a Born Liar, The Origin of Christianism, and La Serva Amorosa. Prior to his association with Cinelite, Mr. Wiser worked with several leading arts organizations, including Braincell, Kasbahfilms, ARTE, Comedie Française, and Kaleidoscope. He has also served as a professor at Institut National Superieur des Arts du Spectacle since 1991. During his career, Mr. Wiser has earned a reputation for being a technically skilled, innovative filmmaker.
He is now working in India with Mahatma Gandhi International School to document and export the use of cinematography as a pedagogical tool in any learning.
Mr. Wiser, who entered the film industry after beginning very young in the theater, attributes his success to his mentors and a little bit of luck. Over the next five years, he would like to find a wider audience for his films, especially for those dedicated to Healthcare and Education.
Mr. Wiser holds a degree in cinema from the Institut National Superieur des Arts du Spectacle. Outside of filmmaking, Mr. Wiser is an active member of the community who volunteers with charities such as BRH and Lifecare Beyond. In his free time, he enjoys reading and being with his wife and daughter. He is also the son of William Wiser, renowned American writer of Disappearances, recently passed away.
