Kenneth W. Buck Named a Worldwide Who's Who Professional of the Year for Excellence in Landscape Architecture

    ARMSTRONG, BRITISH COLUMBIA, CANADA, June 25, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Kenneth Buck, Senior Landscape Architect for K.W. Buck & Associates, Landscape Architects Ltd., has been named a Worldwide Who's Who Professional of the Year in Landscape Architecture. While inclusion in Worldwide Who's Who is an honor, only a small selection of members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, years of service, and the credentials they have provided in association with their Worldwide Who's Who membership.

Mr. Buck, who has more than three decades of experience in the landscape architecture field, has been a Senior Landscape Architect for K.W. Buck & Associates, Landscape Architects for the past two years. The firm, which is based in Armstrong, British Columbia, Canada, provides collaborative landscape architecture services to clients throughout the country. In his leadership role with the firm, Mr. Buck oversees all daily operations, including business development, client relations and strategic planning. He also collaborates with other top designers on multi-faceted projects.

Prior to assuming his current role with K.W. Buck & Associates, Mr. Buck filled a number of other key positions with leading companies in the field, including serving as the Senior Landscape Architect and Team Leader at ESG International, in Guelph, Ontario and Practice Leader for Planning and Landscape Architecture - Canada, for Stantec Consulting, Ltd.. Through K.W. Buck & Associates, Ken has served as Senior Landscape Architect and "Chief Ideas Guy" for Outland Design in Kelowna, BC and is currently an Independent Consultant to Dillon Consulting in Vancouver and Calgary. He also has extensive teaching experience as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Guelph's School of Landscape Architecture. During his long career, he has earned a reputation for being a creative, solutions-oriented landscape architect with an expertise in open space system/trails development, equestrian facility design, visual landscape analysis and expert testimony.

Mr. Buck, who entered the landscape architecture field due to his lifelong passion for design and the outdoors, attributes his success to his persistence and leadership skills. Over the next five years, he would like to expand his business while transitioning into executive/life coaching for landscape architects.

Mr. Buck holds a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies from the University of Waterloo and a Master's degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Guelph. A multi-award-winning landscape architect, he is a Full Member of the Alberta Association of Landscape Architects, the British Columbia Society of Landscape Architects, Ontario Association of Landscape Architects, the Canadian Society of Landscape Architects, the American Society of Landscape Architects and the International Coach Federation.
