Jean-Francois Tourrenc Inducted into Worldwide Who's Who for Excellence in Manufacturing

    /24-7PressRelease/ -- STRASBOURG, FRANCE, June 27, Jean-Francois Tourrenc, Director of Operations for Sidel, has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in manufacturing.

Mr. Tourrenc has 16 years of experience in manufacturing, with three years as director of operations for Sidel, which is a leading company that provides packaging solutions for liquids such as water, soft drinks, milk and juices. Mr. Tourrenc's areas of expertise include general management, sales, manufacturing, supply chain and crisis management, and his day-to-day responsibilities involve managing a business unit, located in Italy, dedicated to the design, manufacturing and commissioning of machines for the bottling industry.
Mr. Tourrenc attributes his success to team building and being able to develop and build on the competencies of his team. He was drawn to his profession while serving in the military, where he participated in a partnership that gave young engineers the opportunity to do foreign service with a company that wanted to expand internationally. In five years, he would like to gain a broader view of the marketing aspect of the business and move into a more strategic position.

Prior to attaining his current position, Mr. Tourrenc progressed internationally through a series of positions within the Sidel Group. He served as a project manager and technical manager in Chile from 1996 until 2001. From that time until 2003, he created and was the managing director of a subsidiary in Australia. From 2003 until 2006, he served as the manager of the turnkey projects business unit in France. Finally, he became a general manager in Chile, where had to deal with the damages to the factory during one of the biggest registered earthquake, and the regional sales director for the Andean zone in Latin America until 2010, when he attained his current position within the company.

Mr. Tourrenc received his diploma of engineering from ENSAIA. When he is not hard at work, he enjoys spending time with his family. Mr. Tourrenc is multilingual, speaking French, English, Spanish, and Italian.
