BOSTON, MA, July 1, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Chand Pasha Shaik, Founder and President of Bighelp For Education, was recently named a VIP member of Worldwide Who's Who. This special distinction honors individuals who have shown exceptional commitment to achieving personal and professional success.
Mr. Shaik, who has nearly two decades of experience in management, has been the president of Bighelp for Education for the past 11 years. The nonprofit organization, which is based in Boston, Mass., is dedicated to supporting education programs in Mr. Shaik's native country India. Through the child sponsorship and school adoption programs, the organization is helping to improve the educational and professional prospects of India's younger generation. In his executive role with the nonprofit group, Mr. Shaik oversees the daily operations, including business development, fundraising and strategic planning. He also handles all program organization and IT duties.
Previously Mr. Shaik filled a number of key positions with prominent companies, including IBM Global Services and the John Hancock Life Insurance Company. During his long career, he has earned a reputation for being a dynamic, solutions-oriented executive with expertise in software engineering and working with children.
Mr. Shaik founded Bighelp for Education after witnessing numerous children in India drop out of school due to financial constraints. During the past 11 years Mr. Shaik has touched the lives of thousands of underprivileged children of rural India and made a positive impact in their lives. Without his support, these children would have become child laborers or been attracted to committing antisocial deeds. He attributes his success to the organization's dedicated volunteers, support from his family, the commitment of the teachers and the efforts of the students who receive benefits.
Mr. Shaik holds a bachelor's degree from Nagarjuna University and an MBA from the Babson College Franklin W. Olin School of Business. He also received a computer software engineering and advanced systems management diploma from the National Institute of Information Technology. An active member of the field, he belongs to several professional groups and organizations. Outside of his work with Bighelp for Education, he works with several other charitable foundations. During his free time, he enjoys playing volleyball, listening to music and spending time with his family.
