Xterra World Champion Lesley Paterson Partners with John Paul Mitchell Systems

    SAN DIEGO, CA, July 01, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Three time off-road triathlon world champion Lesley Paterson has signed a new sponsorship deal with John Paul Mitchell Systems. The two plan to work together in an effort to expand the Paterson and John Paul Mitchell Systems brands globally, both within the Xterra and ITU off-road triathlon and on-road triathlon environments, for example with the upcoming 2013 Nautica Malibu Triathlon, and into the general health and fitness markets.

In addition to a healthy fitness lifestyle, both Paterson and John Paul Mitchell Systems share a commitment to charitable causes.

Paterson's upcoming free three-day triathlon camp in San Diego from July 23-26 for underprivileged young adults and challenged athletes is indicative of her desire to give back to the sport she has been involved in as an international competitor since the age of 15. Her Braveheart Bootcamp is also intended to demonstrate to participants how triathlon can help overcome problems in other areas of their lives, whether they are personal, social or professional.

Paterson has had a sensational last 18 months, winning back-to-back 2011 and 2012 Xterra world championships in Maui, and the 2012 ITU cross-tri world championships. She has started the 2013 season with a vengeance, winning the first three Xterra regional championships in the United States, along with Xterra Philippines, and a number of professional mountain bike races, including the Whiskey 50 and a World Cup race.
