Travel Advantage Network Helps Empower Women

    MILLERSVILLE, MD, July 03, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Travel Advantage Network, a wholesale vacation company, spent the month of June raising money for a small, Maryland-based charity Alimayu Ministries Inc. (Alimayu). Founded in 2006 by Dawn Gatling, the Alimayu mission is to confront and share the message of healing with women who have suffered from sexual, physical and emotional abuse. The organization helps women through their journey so they can experience freedom from the negative effects of the abuse.

Each month, a Travel Advantage Network employee selects a charity for the company to support and help raise funds for the cause. Employees took part in fundraising efforts for Alimayu with various activities throughout the month of June, including selling books, baked goods, and bracelets and hosting a pay-to-wear- jeans day in the office. The employees' efforts raised over $800.

"It was an honor to support a local charity such as Alimayu who has a great vision and mission to help abused women. There is so much satisfaction in knowing that the money we raised will have a positive impact on Alimayu and the women it supports," said Jennifer Cooper, Client Relations Coordinator.
