Kristin S. Williams Inducted into Worldwide Who's Who for Excellence in Youth Organization

    HALIFAX, NOVA SCOTIA, July 3, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Kristin S. Williams, President, Chief Executive Officer of JA Nova Scotia, has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in youth organization.

With 15 years of experience in her field, Ms. Williams has established a wealth of knowledge in nonprofit leadership, change management, strategic planning, partnership, and fundraising development. On a daily basis, she is tasked with overseeing daily business operations and providing strategic and operational leadership to support the charter's mission of promoting financial literacy, entrepreneurship and workforce readiness in youths. JA Canada is youth business education organization that provides opportunities regarding business and entrepreneurship for youth across Nova Scotia.

Well equipped for professional success, Ms. Williams is pursuing a master's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Royal Roads University. She will add that degree to her certifications in nonprofit leadership and governance and her certification in animal sciences. In addition, Ms. Williams holds a Bachelor of Arts in critical, cultural and historical studies.

Ms. Williams attributes her success to not setting limits on what is achievable. She is committed to creative solutions and is wholeheartedly dedicated to the industry. She became involved in her profession because she was interested in giving back to the community.

In the years ahead, Ms. Williams intends to continue working in the nonprofit sector. She wants to protect the missions and mandates of organizations that serve as our social safety net. After she completes her master's degree, she plans to pursue a Ph.D.
