Ms. Parker has 24 years of experience in the broadcast industry. For the past six years, Ms. Parker has been at the forefront of multi-platform digital media production for News Limited (News Corporation) as a Senior Video Journalist. Her areas of expertise include all facets of broadcast and video production spanning news, public affairs, lifestyle television and cutting edge of digital broadcasting and live feeds. Her responsibilities include overseeing and producing the creative, as well as shooting, lighting, directing and video editing and having editorial control. In 2013 Ms. Parke, while continuing to maintain a working relationship with News Limited, formed the independent venture MyCo.video. MyCo.video specialises in producing 60-second company culture videos that feature on corporate websites. In five years, Ms. Parker aims to establish MyCo.video as the new way for corporations to engage with the public, media and clients. She sees this new age of short-story telling as a growth area for brands engaging with stakeholders.
Ms. Parker has worked on various projects, including three number one television series in Australia (one sold globally). As Senior Video Journalist Ms. Parker travelled internationally filming, interviewing and editing videos on the road. Ms. Parker's story on the outback town of Bourke being transformed by floods was nominated for a Walkley Award. A poignant video piece about Anzac Day titled "Last Letter Home" was a finalist in the News Awards 2011. The anti violence video campaign Ms. Parker produced called "Heroes Walk Away" was highly acclaimed within News Limited, the medical fraternity and NSW Police Force and was reviewed by Rupert Murdoch himself. News Limited aims to submit "Heroes Walk Away" for a 2013 Walkley Award. Ms. Parker attributes her success to her passion for her work and her ability to connect with people from all walks of life. She became involved in her profession due to attending the Australian film premiere iconic Australian movie "Picnic at Hanging Rock." She was also influenced by her grandmother, one of the Founding Editors of The Australian Woman's Weekly magazine.
