Marjorie A. Guymon Inducted into Worldwide Who's Who for Excellence in Legal Services

    LAS VEGAS, July 23, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marjorie Guymon, Shareholder of Goldsmith & Guymon, has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in legal services.

Ms. Guymon has been a shareholder of a respected woman-owned boutique law firm in Summerlin, NV, for more than 17 years. She is a community activist and supporter, as well as a mother and wife. In the course of her duties, she is responsible for meeting with current and prospective clients, going to court, and preparing legal documents. Ms. Guymon applied for the opportunity to bring a case in front of the Supreme Court, and was approved. The firm and its attorneys have been recognized for pro bono service numerous times. Ms. Guymon attributes her success to her amazing law partner, the many good mentors she had along the way, and her husband, who is a well-known and respected lawyer in the community. She became involved in her profession because she was an English major in school, but wasn't sure what direction to go in to. She took the GSAT and LSAT, and did very well on the LSAT; she then decided to pursue a law degree. Among her many awards and recognitions are the Clark County Pro Bono Award, which she received in 2001. In 2008, she was named as the Clark County Bar Association's Ambassador of the Year, and she has received a Congressional Certificate of Congratulations, as well as congressional recognition from Congresswoman Shelley Berkley in 2001. She also was awarded the 2011 Pro Bono Attorney of the Year Award from the Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada

Ms. Guymon attended J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University, earning a JD in 1993. She is a member of the Clark County Bar Association, the Nevada State Bar Association, and the Utah State Bar Association. In addition to her degrees, she is licensed in the States of Nevada and Utah. She is also licensed to practice in the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. To benefit others, she performs pro bono work for the Clarke County Bar Association. When she is not at work, she enjoys spending time with her son, boating, skiing, and golfing.
