Francois Houin Named a VIP Member of Worldwide Who's Who for Excellence in the Automotive Industry

Mr. Houin, who has more than three decades of experience in the automotive industry, has been vice president of quality passenger car tires in Europe for Michelin for the past five years. In his leadership role, Mr. Houin oversees all operations for the European business unit, including business development, client relations and strategic planning. During his long career, he has earned a reputation for being a driven, results-oriented business executive with expertise in target definition, action-plan deployment and engineering processes.

Mr. Houin, who joined Michelin because he enjoys working with people from many different cultures, attributes his success to his confidence and his ability to bring together teams capable of accomplishing difficult goals. In June 2011, Mr. Houin received the Michelin Quality Award in recognition of his division's consistent ability to achieve quality results.

Mr. Houin holds a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from CPE Lyon. An active member of the field, he stays current with best practices in the industry through his involvement with a wide range of professional groups and organizations, including EPE and Environment Worldwide. Outside of his professional life, Mr. Houin is a devoted community member who volunteers with charities and nonprofit groups such as Rotary International.
