The female design is available in KDH's level IIIA ballistic version, and it is also among the lightest in the industry.
The MDF-101-II areal density was tested at 0.95 Lb./ft2 per "Standard Method for Areal Density of Body Armor" and provides an economical solution with superior protection. The MDF-101-II ballistic pack is constructed to a thinness of 0.184 and also resists an assortment of special threats., integrated with special threat protection weighing only 0.95lbs/sq. ft. Both of these new ergonomic female designs provide maximum coverage and are complimented by comfort in wearing. The new female designs are now available across KDH's entire concealable product line.
"In addition to our new ballistic design additions, KDH is also developing improved measuring techniques that result in exact custom designs for our complete line of female ballistics," said Dave Herbener, Chief Executive Officer for KDH Defense Inc. Herbener further explained, "KDH is continues to focus on Research and Development to improve the performance of our Body Armor as well as to improve how we manufacture and provide products to our customers.

"By having female members of law enforcement work in conjunction with KDH's R&D group, we significantly improve the ballistic design, enhancing protection of officers in a more comfortable vest", explained Gerrad Allison, Director of the KDH Defense Research and Development Team.
