Terri A. Thorfinnson Inducted into Worldwide Who's Who for Excellence in Legal Service

With over 20 years of executive level experience in the private and public sectors, Me. Thorfinnson stands out for her extraordinary achievements in policy, politics and executive leadership and expertise in health care, reproductive health, women's health, Affordable Care Act, and health care for the underserved. In her current role as the executive officer of the California Acupuncture Board, she is the state's top regulator of the acupuncture profession. In that role, she protects the public safety through enforcement, education oversight, licensing exam, issuing licenses and regulatory implementation.

Ms. Thorfinnson career is driven by her desire to make the world a better place. Her expertise spans legal, policy, health care, enforcement, school oversight and politics. She is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the California Public Health Association-North. In 1985, she graduated from Franklin Pierce University with a JD, and won the Reginald Heber Award the following year. In 2012, she received the Helen Rodrigues' Trias Award. During her free-time, she supports the Habitat for Humanity International, and enjoys politics, hiking and kayaking. In five years, Ms. Thorfinnson intends to experience continued growth.
