NORTHVILLE, MI, August 2, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- James Kress, Ph.D., President and Chief Executive Officer of The KressWorks Foundation/KressWorks LLC., has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in science and engineering.
Dr. Kress has 33 years of experience in science and engineering, with nine years as the president and CEO of The KressWorks Foundation/KressWorks LLC. In the course of his duties, he performs scientific research to develop new concepts, engineers practical solutions, forms partnerships with companies and academics, and delivers real-world results. Dr. Kress has an extensive, advanced and wide ranging multi-disciplinary educational and employment background. Dr. Kress attributes his success to God, his wife and his ability to find patterns and recognize behaviors related to chemical, physical, electronic and mechanical systems. He became involved in his profession when he was about 14 years old through an award-winning project in microbiology. While in college, Dr. Kress supported himself and his family through research fellowships performing synthetic and physical organic chemistry and ended up involved in what is today known as computational chemistry.
Dr. Kress was a postdoctoral fellow in the US-USSR Exchange Program in Catalysis at the Chemical Engineering Department at the University of Notre Dame in 1977 and a postdoctoral fellow in Atmospheric Chemistry at the Radiation Laboratory at the University of Notre Dame in 1976, having earned a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from the same university in 1976. In addition, he received a Bachelor of Science in chemistry, mathematics and history from Ball State University in 1972. He is a member of the American Chemical Society, IEEE and the American Geophysical Union. To benefit others and give back to his community, he contributes to various charitable foundations and participates in local government. When he is not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife and family, doing yard work, redesigning and remodeling his home and spending time with his dogs. In years to come, Dr. Kress intends to apply systems engineering and detailed scientific methods (such as computational chemistry) to effectuate fundamental, mechanistic and systemic understanding and specific optimal diagnostic and treatment regimens for cancer and other diseases.
The KressWorks Foundation is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) scientific research corporation that provides research, development, and application services. Its primary focus, at this time, is to deliver a systematic methodology that provides optimal treatment regimens for patients suffering from Ewing's Sarcoma.
