SanDiegoBizLaw and Steven Riznyk Seem to Really Love Dogs

Steven Riznyk and SanDiegoLaw are working hard to help abandoned and abused dogs by hosting gala black tie optional events in San Diego. The next one is a combination of a James Bond and Monte Carlo night aptly named Casino Royale.

SAN DIEGO, CA, August 03, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- It has been written that SanDiegoBizLaw is not your father's law firm; they have made that clear. Now they have gone a step beyond. Steven Riznyk, the Chairman and CEO decided to launch a smoking-optional executive cigar club so that SanDiegoBizLaw's clients could mingle with their peers in a relaxed atmosphere. All of the net profits, however, will go to help San Diego's abused and abandoned dogs; an interesting curve for a high-end business law and management consulting firm.

The name of the organization is the Black Tie Cigar Club (as most of their events are black tie optional), and the web site is http://www.SmokinDealMakers.com). Their next event is August 6th at the Grand Del Mar, and the theme will be Casino Royale, a mix between Monte Carlo and James Bond. It was originally going to be a Monte Carlo night, but Mr Riznyk did not feel it would be original enough. In order to attract the city's top DealMakers, states Mr Riznyk, we will have to show them we are in a league of our own, offering what they can expect in New York or Los Angeles. This is one of the few events that allows the DealMakers bring their favorite Bond Girl, or Bond Man, whatever the case may be. Most of the events are for the dealmakers only as otherwise it would defeat the purpose of the club.

Mr Riznyk and his powerful Board of ten Directors, which ranges from a member of the movie industry, to a wealth manager, and even a psychiatrist, meet regularly to determine the direction of the organization an brainstorm ways to make the club a compelling and powerful organization. The club will meet every first Tuesday of the month in which a holiday does not conflict. The problem, states Steven Riznyk, is that the Club is raising the bar, and it ends up being its own toughest competition month after month when events are being planned. One aspect of the club that many members enjoy is what Mr Riznyk refers to as "The NewlyMet Game". Most every event he throws has a theme question, such as "your favorite vacation story", which was used at Morgan Run. Every person at the event has to ask every other one for their response. The part is later paused and three contestants are chosen. They, in turn, choose a ticket, and they have to tell us that person's response to win a prize. It has proven a successful ice-breaker, making easy for those who attend an event alone, or for the first time.

The club likes to promise less and deliver more. This month, Mr Riznyk was negotiating with Roger Moore's agent, a friend of Ron Grabell's, one of the board members. Regrettably, Mr Moore's trip to California from his home in Monte Carlo, did not coincide with the event. A second surprise, was to have Mr Riznyk picked up in the parking lot of the Grand Del Mar by having a 75-foot rope ladder dropped from a helicopter and then have him dropped off at the Aira Lawn, where the event will take place. Regrettably, all six of the major helicopter companies in town declined due to risk aversion, despite Steven's willingness to sign a complete waiver of risk. The Board has not stopped thinking about ideas, and we don't want to give any of them away as the event has not taken place. Rest assured, there is nothing ordinary about their events.

The Club had its inaugural event at Morgan Run on June 4th, and then went dark in July as they did not want to interrupt the 4th. That first event was 40% oversold, and many friendships and even deals were forged that night. The first purpose of the club, states Steven Riznyk, is to foster friendships amongst people who may otherwise never cross paths; if deals are made, fine, but this is not an organization where we go to aggressively seek business, it should be a place we go to relax and be amongst the new friends we have made.

The days of the traditional firm, states Mr Riznyk, where a lawyer simply drafts your documents, are long gone, and SanDiegoBizLaw, with Steven Riznyk at the controls, wants to lead the way. Clients want and need more than just someone who understands law, contracts, and litigation, states Mr Riznyk, they are looking for a concierge service. They are looking for someone to be their co-pilot in whatever business they are involved so that they can have an ongoing relationship, and the attorney knows all about them. A desire for wealth and turnover of clients stopped that in the past, but now with many of the large firms falling apart, the message has become clear to an industry that has not had a major overhaul since the beginning of time. If I can help my clients and at the same time help dogs, states Mr Riznyk, I don't mind having to work an extra 8 hours a week putting this production together along with our wonderful volunteers. This is not the first time Steven Riznyk went out of his way for dogs. When he lived in Rome for a year almost three years ago, he started an English School in order to raise money for dogs (see http://www.Riznyk.com).
