Eileen Morrissey Inducted into Worldwide Who's Who for Excellence in Biopharmaceuticals

    MENDHAM, NJ, August 6, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Eileen Morrissey, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Medicine Differentiation Analytics, LLC, has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in biopharmaceuticals.

Ms. Morrissey is an inventor, and a change agent, with a deep experience in medicine development and commercialization. She is the founder and owner of a women-owned small business in the drug development arena. After spending many years inside and outside the biopharmaceutical industry, she developed a patent-pending software tool - a database and mobile application that will allow patients, doctors, and caregivers to evaluate treatment options, as well as the outcome measures that are important to them. This database is also used by biopharmaceutical companies and the payer community, which consists of insurance companies, to evaluate how differentiated a potential medicine will be in the market. In addition, Ms. Morrissey provides executive-level consulting to biopharmaceutical companies, particularly in their quest for significant continuous improvement across R&D.

Ms. Morrissey has 25 years of experience in the industry, with two years in her current role, plus nearly 10 years outside the bio/pharma industry. She excels at finances and drug development processes. Within five years, Ms. Morrissey intends to bring her intellectual property to the market and make it valuable to patients and doctors.

As a seasoned professional, Ms. Morrissey attributes her success to her willingness to try new things and take risks. She actually started her career as a CPA, but wasn't happy auditing and telling people all that they did wrong. She wanted to fix problems and find solutions. She went into process improvement, becoming a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt, a process that she found to be very enjoyable. Ms. Morrissey's functional expertise is broad, beginning in the area of finance. Through process improvement, however, she has been exposed to all areas of business such as marketing, R&D, and IT. Most recently, her depth in bio/pharma R&D and helping the struggling health care industry has become a passion for her.

Ms. Morrissey received a Bachelor of Science in accounting and finance from Binghamton University and attended New York University's MBA program in Management Information Systems. She also holds certifications as a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt and public accountant. She is a member of the Licensing Executives Society, the American Institute of CPAs, and the International Federation of Accountants. Ms. Morrissey's awards include Best Activity-Based Management Practice, a distinction that she was given by the Arthur Anderson and American Productivity and Quality Center in 1997, and the Corporate Renegade Award in 1996. She has also been presented with a Literature Award for "Implementing Activity-Based Cost Management, Moving from Analysis to Action," by the American Accounting Association in 1993. The book was co-authored with Harvard Professors Robert Kaplan and Robin Cooper. Ms. Morrissey is a volunteer at local charitable organizations and her hobbies include boating and writing.
