/247PressRelease/ - HOUSTON, TX - November 8, 2007 - Journalism graduate student and freelance writer Todd A. Smith recently relaunched RegalMag.com, a free monthly, subscription based online magazine dedicated to issues affecting African American men of all ages. The magazine, which features national content, tackles prevalent issues such as relationships, sports, fashion, health, finances, as well as political and social issues that are currently affecting black men.
"After receiving an overwhelming response to the magazine launch, it was necessary to redesign the site to attract new readers and advertisers. Although we are an online magazine, we still want to give our readers the quality and glossy images that they are accustomed to with printed magazines," Smith says. "I decided on an online publication to reach more readers effectively as anyone with computer access can read the magazine."
In addition, RegalMag.com provides positive stories of African American men who have overcome seemingly insurmountable obstacles on their road to success. It also includes stories of black athletes and entertainers making positive contributions to their community. "RegalMag.com is the male counterpart to well known black publications like Essence and Sister 2 Sister magazines," Smith adds.
Smith received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Southern University in 2001, and is currently pursuing a Master of Arts degree in Journalism from Texas Southern University. He has worked for various Houston community newspapers as a freelance writer. Visit Regal at www.regalmag.com
