NORTH VANCOUVER, BC, August 14, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- TapSnap - the phototainment sensation that's sweeping the nation - is becoming a regular at Utah's premier charity, wedding, sports, and corporate events after launching this spring. A new North American franchise, TapSnap is now providing event entertainment in more than 50 regions across North America.
Neil Knight, of Pleasant View, and Kim Deimling, of Park City, are the two TapSnap franchisees in northern Utah. "TapSnap provides a fun, interactive experience that quickly engages participants and makes every event a memorable one," Knight said.
From the Grizzlies Hockey play-off games to weddings, TapSnap has been providing its high-tech brand of "phototainment" to a wide variety of special events.
Jared Youngman, VP of Operations for the UT Grizzlies Hockey Team said, "TapSnap was able to drive one of our most important objectives here at the Utah Grizzlies hockey, and that is to get our brand out into the social network channels. It allowed everyone that was not at the game to see how much fun and exciting it really is to be here in the arena. The pictures that were being taken had a natural quality to them, where the fans could be themselves and when Grizzbee had an appearance, it just made it that much more fun. It is a smart concept where the photos were put directly onto our Facebook and Twitter fan pages, in real time for everyone to see. When the participants tag themselves on the site; it spreads exponentially for many more to see the great time that is being experienced at the Grizzlies game. It was great."
How TapSnap Works:
Event guests take their pictures with the tap of a fingertip on the giant 42-inch multi-touch screen. Then they can write personal messages and add digital props - everything from French moustaches to movie star sunglasses - and immediately share their photo creations with the world on social media.
"TapSnap is good for all ages, and at every festive gathering," said Deimling. "With TapSnap's unique social marketing capabilities, it's a fresh way for event sponsors to reach large numbers. We promote everything from national sponsors' products, to the bride and groom, to an expo wanting to have a real-time Facebook presence."
TapSnap has been on location at youth events including numerous school dances, year-end celebrations, UT Odyssey of the Mind State Tournament, graduation parties, birthday parties, and Bat Mitzvahs.
For adults and families, TapSnap has entertained at Nordstrom's Anniversary Sale, The Jeremy Ranch Golf Course, La Caille Bridal Show, Temple Har Shalom's Mitzvah Day, Huntsman Cancer Foundation's "Walk for Hope," Priority Dispatch's 2013 Navigator Conference at the Salt Palace, Global Spectrum's international conference in Loveland, CO, Judge Memorial High School's senior social, the Salt Lake Valley Science and Engineering Fair, the Utah Grand Prix Volleyball Tournament, and other events.
At last month's Mountain Town Music Fundraiser, event guests posed in front of a Bourbon Street backdrop. "It looked like they were transported to New Orleans," said Deimling, She added, "And now with our green screen, we can situate guests in front of any background imaginable."
TapSnap continues to work with the Huntsman Cancer Foundation at this month's Ron Boon Golf Classic at the Salt Lake Country Club on August 12. TapSnap can also be seen every Saturday in September at the various "Walk to End Alzheimer's" fundraising events. Visit http://www.alz.org/utah/ for time and locations.
What They Said:
"Gone are the days of the typical boring photo booth with the ugly draped curtain. TapSnap is innovative, creative and technologically advanced. It is also very user friendly and lots of fun to use. The TapSnap crew was at my June wedding and they did a phenomenal job. Everyone loved the social media feature and the ability to email themselves their pictures. Guests of all ages were having a ball with this kiosk!" - Noemi Tario Richardson, bride
"TapSnap was an awesome way to make our graduation night memorable. We had tons of fun dressing up and goofing off and got copies of all our favourite pictures to remind us of all the good times we had. I would recommend this for people of all ages. Everyone can have fun with this!"
- Alex Miele, PCHS graduating senior
"It was so much fun to be able to pose for photos with our friends and get to see the photos right then. We could do as many as we wanted, get them printed or send to e-mail, Facebook, whatever. Being able to click on the different costumes, insert movie stars, and just change things up was a kick. I don't know anyone that didn't have fun with this!"
- Jill D. Candland, Jeremy Ladies Association, Membership Chair, Jeremy Golf and Country Club, Park City
