After many years in the business, and after Joe died, Nereide ran the business. She had a stroke in 2008. That was the last year she worked.

When all this transpired with mom Sherwood, immediately the Sherwood girls started to pray each day at the business for their families and the business. They soon became aware that they should pray for all businesses in Albuquerque. Why would God help or answer a selfish prayer? So they got busy.

Soon they felt like they should start giving to disaster relief, as the country had been bombarded with so many national disasters. The girls picked two of the most known nonprofit faith-based organizations and started to give. They prayed...they gave. Calls would come in. Then more calls came in and business steadily increased. Great things were taking place.

The Sherwoods attribute seeing amazing things happen, including unexpected calls right after giving to God and their prayers.
