New Executive Chef Craig Rosado of Fort Lauderdale Marriott North to Spearhead February 2008 Opening of BlueFire Grille

The hotel's current restaurant will become a BlueFire Grille on February 1, 2008 to much anticipation.

Chef Craig Rosado was born in New York City but he relocated to Tampa, Florida as a young adult. Living in Tampa and spending summers in New York City allowed Craig to experience diverse foods and cultures. His multi-cultural family provided him with a cornucopia of culinary experiences as a child. Helping his grandmother in her kitchen during the summers, he quickly learned that cooking was his forte and his passion.

After high school, Rosado became an intern with the Sheraton Hotel and Resort. When the management team at the Sheraton recognized Craig's talent and strong work ethics, they sent him to culinary school. In the Sheraton program, Craig received extensive training in four and five star dining, banquet preparation, and large scale catering. Eventually he completed a program in culinary arts and food and beverage management.

As an executive chef, Rosado has traveled with the Taste of the Nations Tour, worked in Florida, New York, Arizona, California, Tennessee, Georgia, Phoenix, Chicago and last but not least, London, England. Chef Craig has accumulated over 20 years experience in the food service industry, and his diverse palate allows him to enjoy a variety of ethnic and traditional foods, which he faithfully reproduces for his customers at this refreshing Pompano Beach hotel.

Craig Rosado is an avid international traveler who is always seeking new culinary experiences to add to his cooking and catering repertoire. Chef Rosado works diligently to master his craft and become an expert at creating everything from exotic fare to home-style comfort food.
