George W. Sanford, P.E., Inducted into Worldwide Who's Who for Excellence in Engineering

Mr. Sanford brings over twenty-five years of experience in the Manufacturing & Construction Sectors to his role at the helm of Sanford Engineering. Mr. Sanford graduated Magna Cum Laude from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering in 1988. He has been a Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) since 1994. While in College, he completed and was a member of the winning Design Team in what is widely recognized as the capstone undergraduate course in Mechanical Engineering Design in the country: NC State's MAE 416. Mr. Sanford has published various articles, including "Verifying Ventilation Flows" in Mechanical Engineering Magazine, Vol. 10/96, No. 10, pp. 92-93. He was also granted U.S. Patent #5,517,862: "Apparatus and Method for Measuring Ventilation Flow Exiting a Spinning Rotor". In addition, Mr. Sanford was the recipient of the George Westinghouse Corporate Innovation Award 1n 1996. His Professional Association affiliations include SEI, AISC, and ASME.

Mr. Sanford attributes his success to being well-prepared for the real-world by N.C. State University, and for the superb opportunities he has been afforded throughout his Career.
