Nancy Paquet Inducted into Worldwide Who's Who for Excellence in Banking

    MONTREAL, QUEBEC, CANADA, September 4, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Nancy Paquet, President of National Bank Direct Brokerage - a division of the National Bank of Canada, has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in banking.

For the past six years, Ms. Paquet has nurtured an ever-emergent skill set, which has thrust her forth into a leadership role at a leading commercial bank and financial service provider. In her current role, she is primarily accountable for strategy and results within the division, and responsible for interacting with all functions of the bank.

Ms. Paquet is an inspiring leader in Quebec's finance industry. After practicing business law, she obtained an MBA from HEC Montreal and joined the financial industry in Quebec. From a wholesaling position in the mutual fund industry, to management positions to president of a direct broker, Ms. Paquet has continuously surpassed her goals. A board member of the Quebec Institute of Financial Planning (IQPF), the Investment Funds Institute of Canada (IFIC - Quebec arm CFIQ), she has had an impact in her industry. She is also a leader in the Women in the Lead program, internal to National Bank of Canada, aimed at encouraging young women to advance their careers within the bank. She will appear in the fall issue of the magazine Premières en affaires as one of the eight most influential people in personal finance in the province of Quebec.

Through the years, Ms. Paquet has come to attribute her success to her hard work, and ability to keep her eyes open for new opportunities and find the right people. Ms. Paquet earned an MBA in Finance and Human Resources from Universite de Montreal. She sits on the board of the Theâtre Jean Duceppe Foundation and is a member the Quebec Bar Association. In 2013, she received the Association of Quebec Women in Finance Rising Star Award. To keep her balance, Ms. Paquet loves teaching Zumba classes with her certification. She takes additional pleasure in spending time with her family, and figure skating.
