With almost four decades of professional experience in her field, Dr. Hildebrand was uniquely qualified to oversee a variety of responsibilities. During the course of her daily duties, she taught students and provided educational consulting services. When she was a school principal, she turned the achievement data around for the students in a five year period, so that the overall school data reflects positive outcomes for the students now.
Dr. Hildebrand became involved in her profession because her mother was a teacher and her father encouraged all his children to "get an education". Being one of eight children herself, she was determined the make a difference in the lives of children. She received her Ph.D. from The University of Melbourne, a Master and Bachelor of Education from Monash University, a Bachelor of Science in chemistry and physics, and a diploma in education, the two latter of which were earned at La Trobe University. Dr. Hildebrand remains professionally affiliated with the industry by way of the Australian Association for Research in Education. Throughout the course of her impressive career, she has had many awards bestowed on her, including the CRA Science Teaching Fellowship and the University of Melbourne Universitas 21 Award for excellence in tertiary teaching. In the next five years, Dr. Hildebrand intends to assist schools in improving the quality of their teaching and professional learning in order to improve student learning outcomes.
