Dr. Terry Day Inducted into Worldwide Who's Who for Excellence in Technology Development

Dr. Day is skilled in fluid dynamics and vorticity

Dr. Day has 20 years of experience in fluid technology with 7 years as technical director of New Fluid Technology.

NORTH TAMBORINE, QLD, AUSTRALIA, September 11, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Terry Day, Director of New Fluid Technology, has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in water pump technology.

New Fluid is a technology company that researches pumps, such as "Stelth" pumps and other types, dryers, blowers and fans and other innovative technologies.

It is a rare and historic occasion for a totally new concept to make it to the market place. The staff at New Fluid Technology believe that once the first "Stelth" pumps are experienced as superior spa and pool pumps, with high efficiency and up to six times less noise (52.8dBA), they will become required as the only real option. It sees their initial application to pools and spas as only the beginning.

The "Stelth" pump is the easiest to manufacture water pump of all. Supa-Stelth pumps are the most simple pumps possible. The Supa-Stelth pool pump with leaf basket is the most energy efficient. The patented impeller allows for a far smoother passage for the water to flow. It has a cork screw-type curve rather than a right angle turn, as in the conventional pool pump impellers. This reduces shock, noise and increases overall efficiency. However it is the unique "solid body vortex" of water within the pump casing that is the major breakthrough.

The "Stelth" pump has been licensed to Koller Whirlpool in Austria and the Czech Republic, and it is in the process of being licensed to a global major pool pump company. Production pumps should be available worldwide by mid-2013. After redesigning the pump for minimum noise and maximum efficiency, the company set about reducing cooling fan noise and adapted the Jetfan, the worlds quietest fan, and which is now unique to Supa-Stelth pumps.

The World Patented JETFAN is the world's most quiet and high pressure fan. This helps to further reduce the overall pump noise. The JETFAN is unique in that it can deliver airflows at the highest pressures compared to any other mixed flow fan known.

Dr. Day has 20 years of experience in fluid technology with 7 years as technical director of New Fluid Technology. His areas of expertise include fluid dynamics and an understanding of vorticity. His responsibilities include directing the development of energy efficient pumps, fans and related technologies; serving as the largest stakeholder of the company; and ongoing development of Supa Stelth pumps. He is working with Stuart Turner in the U.K. to adapt Supa Stelth pumps for multi-staging (this pump is in the process of being licensed by a global major pool pump company). He is working with developers of new types of high efficiency electric motors, performing complex testing on the pumps and conferring with Rolf Schilling, the CAD engineer, on the pump tooling to ensure that the tooling path is simple.

Dr. Day is the published author of Chapter 24 in "Applications of Circulation Control Technology, Progress in Astronautics and Aeronautics.." He has also had articles published in Eureka Magazine, Appliance Design Magazine, Splash Magazine, and Hotel Engineer Magazine. He was the director of Jetfan Technology for 10 years.

He delivered a paper to a NASA/Office of Naval Research workshop on the subject of high lift on aircraft wings employing a novel pump to generate circulation control, which increases lift about three times.
He attributes his success to his strong belief in what he does, and ability to take painful means to make sure that the company delivers what it says it will. He became involved in his fluid dynamics profession after practicing as an osteopath for 30 years (he had his own practice), and was always interested in developing things; he progressed to his current area from there. Dr. Day would like to gain exposure for his pump in the future.

Dr. Day received training in osteopathy under existing practitioners. He is a qualified acupuncturist. He is an Honorary Member of the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) and SAE International. He is a contributor to World Vision, Inc., helping a child in Sri Lanka. His hobbies include bushwalking, hiking and investigating. He enjoys writing about physics subjects.
