FLOWER MOUND, TX, September 13, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Robert McKenzie, President of Bridlewood Stables & Equestrian Center, has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in business management and operations.
Recognized for two and a half decades of invaluable contributions in multiple fields, Mr. McKenzie has found professional success as the president of Bridlewood Stables & Equestrian Center. During the past six years in this capacity, he has managed all operational activities, including financial reporting, payroll and processing. In addition, he assists with the purchasing, lease and sale of horses, establishes and reviews the annual cash flow and budgets and monitor and tracks monthly income and expenses.
A family-owned and operated boarding and teaching facility, Bridlewood Stables & Equestrian Center offers a wide array of services for horses and their owners. Lying on 10 acres, with a staff of 14, they offer therapeutic riding services, as well as general riding lessons in the hunter/jumper discipline and boarding services. Mr. McKenzie and his wife are very active in the operations of the business, and volunteer for Stable Strides Farm, which provides therapeutic riding instruction at their center. They started the business because of the many benefits associated with therapeutic riding for people with disabilities. While doing research to learn about Down Syndrome they became aware of the benefits of therapeutic riding and felt that it could help their son. When the property became available, they purchased it, and have not looked back since. Currently, Stable Strides Farm provides riding instruction to over 50 riders with a broad spectrum of disabilities and their hunter/jumper riding program has over 60 riders taking lessons and attending competitions.
Mr. McKenzie has developed and strengthened his current business experiences through the skills and leadership techniques that he has learned throughout the beginning of his career. He had a 23-year-career in merchandising with GameStop and its affiliates. For the last eight years in merchandising, he served as the senior vice president of the department. His team of 25 employees purchased, allocated and managed the replenishment of more than $4.5 billion in video game merchandise. He was also responsible for the development of a retail digital distribution business for downloadable content and games for U.S. operations. Looking ahead, Mr. McKenzie will be looking to get involved in more nonprofit organizations.
