Bedford grew up in Argentina and attended Texas Tech University and received a BA and MA. He also attended The University of Texas at Austin, where he earned a PhD in foreign language education. He's an Instructor of Spanish at TCU (Texas Christian University) Fort Worth, Texas. Bedford also has a book of short stories in Spanish, Liliana y el espejo, which consists of thirteen fantastic stories in the River Plate literature tradition of the fantastic.
