Dr. Chase has more than 20 years of experience in the field of human rights
ALPHARETTA, GA, September 17, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Alexis E.L. Chase, a Retired Warden of the Georgia Department of Corrections, has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in human rights.
In addition to her experience in working with diverse populations, Dr. Chase demonstrated skill in program development. In her role, she helped prepare others to travel to Afghanistan. She also spent time meeting with high-ranked officials.
Dr. Chase has more than 20 years of experience in the field of human rights, including one year as a gender advisor in Afghanistan. In addition to program development, her areas of expertise include corrections, public speaking, department budgeting, vocational training, security operations and mental health counseling. Prior to her retirement, Dr. Chase served as a warden and counselor for the Georgia Department of Corrections.
Looking back on her experiences helping others, Dr. Chase attributes her success to her parents, who taught her that there are no limits. She became involved in her profession because she started out at a women's prison as a warden. Over the years, she has received the Flagg Social Justice Legacy Award from Georgia College and State University, and the Warden's Badge in Recognition of Many Years of Loyal and Dedicated Service to the Georgia Department of Corrections.
Dr. Chase received a Ph.D. in religious counseling and criminal justice. She is also a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, the Georgia Prison Warden's Association and the American Association for Christian Counselors. Her other affiliations include the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary, the American Correctional Association and the International Board of Christian Counselors. In the years to come, Dr. Chase plans to find employment as a consultant and promote education. She is also interested in working for a nonprofit agency that provides programs for vulnerable women and children.
