David Ng Peng Foo Inducted into Worldwide Who's Who for Excellence in Telecommunications

    SINGAPORE, September 17, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- David Ng Peng Foo, Vice President of Singapore Telecommunications Ltd. ("SingTel"), has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in telecommunications.

Mr. Ng has 30 years of experience in the industry, with five years in his current role. His areas of expertise include mobile and broadband technology, project/program management, product development and new business development. His has experience providing a wide spectrum of multimedia and infocomms technology solutions, including voice, data, and video services over fixed and wireless platforms, software programming, infrastructure planning and operations for mobile, paging and trunked radio, consumer product development, and content marketing and acquisition.

In addition to his duties for SingTel, Mr. Ng was on the board of directors of the company's associate in Indonesia, Telkomsel. He set up the first GSM digital cellular system in Singapore, as well as the first integrated trunk radio system, also in Singapore. He implemented the broadband wholesales scheme, free mysingtel dial-up Internet, as well as 3GTV, mobile ERP, etc., services.

He attributes his success to his passion, perseverance, hard work and dedication and interest in the industry. He became involved in his profession because he has always had an interest in technology, and how it changes day by day. He joined the company in 1984. In years to come, Mr. Ng intends to look for continued growth in the industry, and branch out into new technologies.

Mr. Ng received a degree in engineering from the National University of Singapore. His hobbies are golfing, swimming, playing pool, going to the movies, and singing.
