Motivated by a desire to become an entrepreneur, Mr. Flynn enrolled at Pratt Institute, where he completed a Bachelor of Engineering. Upon completion of his education, he embarked on a career in construction and engineering which has spanned the past 23 years.

In the year 2000, Mr. Flynn founded his own engineering consulting firm, Brian E. Flynn, PE, PC. The company specializes in new construction and facade inspections, as well as underpinning of buildings for new construction. With a certified building inspector licensing, Mr. Flynn and his team work with troubled sites to correct forensic or excavation units for the building department. Recently, Brian E. Flynn, PE, PC began assisting victims of Hurricane Sandy with flood damage and construction repair in the New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania regions. In the coming years, Mr. Flynn intends to expand his business to include all necessary accreditation for building and construction inspections.

As consulting engineer for the company, Mr. Flynn utilizes his expertise in construction when inspecting buildings and job sites. Regarded as a leader in his field, based on his proficiency in assessing structural stability and damage, he is often called upon to deliver expert witness testimony. Mr. Flynn has been widely recognized for his outstanding achievement and excellence in the field of engineering. In 2009, he was inducted into Worldwide Who's Who as an associate member. Since his inclusion, he has been chosen as a Professional of the Year for 2011 and 2012, featured in the Pro-Files magazine, and interviewed for the Elite Radio Network. Mr. Flynn feels his success can be most aptly attributed to unwavering determination and hard work.

Mr. Flynn is the former president of the Queens chapter of the New York State Society of Professional Engineers, Inc., former chairman of the Professionals Design Center of New York Inc., and a member of the National Academy of Building Inspection Engineers and Practicing Institute of Engineering, Inc. Away from the demands of his work, he enjoys skiing, canyon rafting, volleyball, and hiking.
