Michael A. Murtagh Recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for Excellence in Robbery Survival Training

    NGATEA, NEW ZEALAND, September 26, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Michael A. Murtagh, President of the Head Office of Ban Crime Global Limited, has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in robbery survival training.

Mr. Murtagh has specialized in robbery training for 23 years. After serving more than two decades in the police force, where he dealt with serious crimes, including armed robbery, he discovered that victims were prone to injury because of the adrenaline factor, which caused them to act before thinking. After receiving an on-the-job injury and realizing that it could have been much worse, he was inspired to design and develop a skills-based program that empowers people confronted with violence to remain calm, and teaches them how to correctly use their body and voice to de-escalate dangerous situations.

Mr. Murtagh established the training center, Ban Crime Global Limited, which provides armed robbery survival training for organizations and individuals. After establishing training centers in South Africa, Australia, New Zealand and the U.S., Mr. Murtagh resigned from the police to concentrate full time on his training company. His training programs enhance trauma recovery and are widely used by Fortune 500 companies, police agencies, and national and international organizations.

Trauma from violence can ruin a lifetime, and training in how to safely respond to violent situations maximizes an individual's chances of leading a full and worthwhile life after being involved in violence. Though a variety of mediums, Mr. Murtagh's programs have been used to trained more than a half- million people around the world. Looking forward, he intends to line up 400 to 500 distributors of the Ban Crime Global Limited program in order to continue to reduce crime and injury globally.
