BRISBANE, QLD, AUSTRALIA, September 26, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Denise Bartlett, MNL, GDLA, RN, Manager of Palliative Care Services for St Vincent's Private Hospital Brisbane, has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in palliative care services.
Coming from a lineage of health care professionals, it only seemed natural for Ms. Bartlett to become a nurse. She has always been interested in teaching and nursing, and is able to combine both loves in her position as Manager of Palliative Care Services for St Vincent's Private Hospital Brisbane. Holding 46 years of experience, she has honed her skills in the clinical aspect of cancer care and treatment and palliative care services. She holds an excellent bedside manner and is able to communicate efficiently with the family members of her patients.
Managing a 35-bed in-patient unit and a 180-patient community services division, Ms. Bartlett ensures that all care services are in place, either in a home or clinical environment. She also oversees the daily activities of the nursing staff, liaises with doctors, and monitors quality improvement, business planning and marketing. She attributes her success to her hard work and passion for the field of nursing, as well as her continued education in the medical field, and keeping up with new advanced treatments and care.
Holding a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, Ms. Bartlett earned a Graduate Diploma in Leadership and a Master's Degree in Nursing Leadership, both from Australian Catholic University. She is a member of Palliative Care Australia and Royal College of Nursing Australia and participates in local community activities for the elderly. As the years progress, she looks to continue on with the palliative care services, and keep it advancing along in the medical community. She also wants to look at potential retirement, but move into an independent consultant position.
