With the end goal of becoming a civil engineer, he started work as a technical officer while studying part time. Mr. Dixon worked in all aspects of water and sewer design, treatment and construction for 27 years until he joined a private enterprise as a hydraulic and land development specialist.
Now holding 43 years of experience, Mr. Dixon serves as the director and principal engineer for Tadros Dixon Pty., Ltd. Built on relationships, trust and respect, this engineering consultancy firm prides itself on delivering practical and cost effective engineering solutions. Earning a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Curtin University in 1972, Mr. Dixon has gained expertise in water and wastewater treatment and reticulation, land development, and hydraulics. As the principle design engineer, he looks after land, roads, drains, sewers, and gas for communications, creates all drawings necessary to develop a property, and ensures that all design procedures are compliant with Australian codes.
Mr. Dixon is a member of the National Professional Engineers Register, ansd is also a certified toastmaster with Toastmasters International, which has been a major aspect of his life for the past 15 years. He attributes his success to a desire to learn, and wants to continue to soak up information and grow in areas of engineering. Looking ahead, he plans to continue as a director and principal engineer; he also intends to give his business partner the reins, but still work here part time and mentor designers and upcoming engineers.
