Dr. Nasrin Mani Named San Diego Top Doc 2013

    SAN DIEGO, CA, October 02, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The San Diego County Medical Society each year takes peer votes to select San Diego's best physicians to be named to the Top Doctors list. This year Dr. Nasrin Mani has received another Top Doctor selection for her outstanding contributions as an Ophthalmologic Surgeon.

Dr. Mani's role as a retinal surgeon means that she is often the bridge between sight and blindness. Retinal detachment is a serious occurrence and leads to blindness if not surgically repaired.

She shares that many people with symptoms simply don't understand the gravity of the problem and the urgency. A "curtain" or dark shadow in the field of vision is an indication of a retinal hole or tear and left untreated will progress to retinal detachment and loss of vision.

Dr. Mani has practiced as a Board Certified Ophthalmologist since 1989 and performs surgeries at Scripps Memorial in La Jolla, California.

Parlaying her surgical skills in the area of delicate laser retinal surgery, Dr. Mani has embraced the power of lasers in the field of aesthetic medicine. Her aesthetic practice, La Jolla Cosmetic Laser Clinic, is an award-winning training facility for both Thermage and Ultherapy, claiming the top Thermage award 7 years in a row.

Over the past 6 years she has achieved notable training positions with the major "game changers" in long-lasting cosmetic injectables including Artefill (Elite Trainer), Sculptra (National Trainer) and Radiesse (Medical Education Faculty).

This selection adds to her previous selections of San Diego Top Doc in 2010, America's Top Doctors 2011-2012 and Southern California Top Doctors 2012.

Dr. Mani's achievements don't stop at her clinics' doors. This past year she assumed the position of Medical Director of Los Angelitos Orphanage in Tijuana. With a special heart for young children who have no family to care for them, Dr. Mani remains personally and professionally involved in underwriting both the health and housing of the children.
