ATLANTA, GA, October 02, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Atlanta homeless shelters Atlanta Mission, are pleased to say they had one of the highest turnouts a few weeks ago. With the assistance of the Hebron Baptist Church, the homeless shelters in Atlanta successfully baptized 31 men from one of their locations, the Potter's House. The event was emotionally charged and full of joy, as is evidenced by the image of one man raising his arms in excitement that the Atlanta thrift stores posted on their Facebook page. In the Christian faith, baptizing is an experience like no other, a way for people to cleanse their souls and to start new life journeys.
No matter how old you are, getting baptized is a truly unforgettable moment in one's life. The Atlanta homeless shelters note they have received plenty of admiration from residents about the work they have done to improve the lives of people in the community; one Facebook user commented "This was such a special moment. Thank you Atlanta Mission, Hebron Baptist Church, and all who were involved. I was truly blessed by this day!" This is just one of the many posts of praise the Atlanta homeless shelters garnered. According to Ricky Hall, Director of Spiritual Life at Atlanta Mission, "I am truly honored to have been a part of this memorable evening. You could really feel the energy in the building, especially by the men being baptized." The organization notes a lot of baptizing sessions occur indoor these days as opposed to doing so in a lake. They had a pool area with a microphone mounted nearby so the crowd could rejoice in the moment with each participating member.
