PORTLAND, OR, October 03, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- eNet Press announced today that it has launched its new website (enetpress.com), which gives users an independent bookstore experience for purchasing and downloading ebooks. While many readers still revel in the tactile pleasure of reading "real" books, during the last few years the convenience of ebooks and the wide diversity of titles has made ebooks a major force in the book publishing world.
The eNet Press founders, George Forester and John Forester, grew up with books as sons of C.S. Forester the author of the popular Hornatio Hornblower sagas. George and John are no strangers to both the successes of the authors they represent and the needs of their readers. Following months of research and careful planning, this new website will greatly expand the ability for users to browse, review and purchase ebooks.
"You can navigate to all parts of the site with just two or three clicks," says eNet Press co-founder, George Forester. "We want to make it easy for you to locate an ebook when you want a specific one, and at the same time have the ability to see a variety of ebooks you may be unfamiliar with. Our goal is to have authors' work available on as many platforms as possible, and we're adding more titles in the near future to serve more readers."
eNet Press' new website comes at a great time for the ebook publishing industry. While overall sales of ebooks seem to be plateauing, the ebook industry saw an increase of 41% in 2012 and accounted for nearly 23% of publisher net revenues, according to the latest data from the Association of American Publishers. Reading is still arguably one of America's favorite pastimes, and ebooks have made reading more accessible to everyone.
