LONOKE, AR, October 3, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Ken Dill, Family Physician of the St. Vincent Medical Clinic, has been recognized by Worldwide Branding for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in family medicine.
Dr. Dill has 11 years of medical experience, with two years as a family physician of St. Vincent Medical Clinic. Over the years, he has established himself as an expert in pediatrics, and psychiatry. On a daily basis, he is responsible for providing primary care and urgent care for patients in an outpatient clinical setting. To share his thoughts with the medical community, Dr. Dill has published two original essays for a national medical guide on macular degeneration and pediatric obesity. In addition, he has updated his previous essays on family medicine and geriatrics to account for his new findings.
In the fall of 2007, Dr. Dill wrote an article on pediatric obesity for the winter 2007 edition of "NEA Journal." The next year, he published an article on effective parenting strategies and an article on staphylococcal skin lesions. Dr. Dill has also created and published an educational module for patients and health care providers as part of Partners in Research at the Arkansas Cancer Research Center in 1999. Furthermore, he completed a research project on the effects of sharing nitrogen and hydrogen levels on the possible growth of organisms in a simulation of Mars' environment at the University of Arkansas in 1998.
Dr. Dill attributes his success to his empathy for others and his determination and strong work ethic. He became involved in his profession because he enjoys the challenging nature of the field. He has always enjoyed medicine and positively impacting the lives of others. The highlight of his career was becoming a part of the St. Vincent Health System, which is a top-rated hospital in central AR area. It is the only hospital system to be designated a magnet hospital for excellent nursing care.
Dr. Dill earned an MD from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Medicine in 2002, and he completed his family medicine residency at South Nassau Communities Hospital in Oceanside, NY. In addition to his degree, Dr. Dill is board certified in family medicine. He is a member of the American Medical Association, the Arkansas Medical Society, the Arkansas Academy of Family Physicians, and the American Academy of Family Physicians. To give back to his community, he serves as a member of the Arkansas Foundation for Medical Care. Among his many awards and accolades were being named president of his local chapter of Alpha Epsilon Delta, Inc., and receiving the Potter Scholarship for the Most Outstanding Resident in Medicine. In addition, Dr. Dill was elected to the
Golden Key National Honor Society at the University of Arkansas. In 2004, Dr. Dill volunteered in Tutova, Romania to care for 35 sick, abandoned pediatric patients in a clinical orphanage. He also worked with Romanian physicians to provide adult medical care.
In his spare time, Dr. Dill plays tennis competitively, and he serves as the president of the Lonoke Alumni Association. In years to come, Dr. Dill intends to build a better practice, and remain current with the changes in the health care industry.
