ALBANY, NY, October 30, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- In November, The Plastic Surgery Group (www.theplasticsurgerygroup.net) is celebrating its move to a new location after decades in Albany. The plastic surgery practice will also offer medical spa services at the new facility, less than 1 mile away from the old office.
The professionally designed and decorated space, which is larger than the practice's previous office, was built so that the group's 6 board-certified plastic surgeons could meet the needs of more people.
"Our practice has thrived in its initial facility, but we saw the need to expand," says Dr. Steven M. Lynch of The Plastic Surgery Group. "With the ever-growing market for cosmetic procedures like breast augmentation, Albany needs a facility that can support a large surgical team offering the highest level of care."
The new state-of-the-art facility features dedicated exam, laser, and treatment rooms designed for patient comfort. There are on-site operating rooms where the doctors can safely perform procedures requiring local anesthesia. The practice will continue to perform more complex procedures requiring general anesthesia at an outpatient ambulatory center close to the office.
Dr. John Noonan of The Plastic Surgery Group says that the new location maintains the convenience of the original. "A significant percentage of our patients visit us from out of town. Patients from Schenectady and Saratoga Springs drive here for plastic surgery, and some of our patients even fly in from other states. Our new location offers the same convenient proximity to the Albany airport and several local hotels."
The new facility will feature a full-service medical spa - Spa One - adjacent to the cosmetic surgery offices.
"Our team of surgeons work in concert with the Spa One estheticians and staff to provide the best of both clinical and cosmetic care," says Dr. Jeffrey Rockmore, one of the practice's 6 plastic surgeons. "We have assembled a very talented team of aesthetic professionals who offer facial therapies, professional makeup, spray tanning, and other services. For those patients who want treatments like laser skin resurfacing or injectables, our doctors are available."
These kinds of non-surgical procedures have been booming in popularity in recent years as patients have taken advantage of their effectiveness, affordability, and lack of required downtime.
Dr. Douglas Hargrave, another surgeon with the group, says, "We are dedicated to offering our patients an array of options, not all surgical. Spa One represents an extension of our cosmetic practice intended to serve all those people looking for effective, non- or minimally invasive options."
Both The Plastic Surgery Group and Spa One opened their doors in October, and the practice is hosting an official grand opening event Nov. 14. The event will feature prizes and promotions, and is open to everyone.
The new facility is at 455 Patroon Creek Blvd. in Albany. The plastic surgery office is in Suite 101, and Spa One is in Suite 103.
"Everything about the new office is state-of-the-art," says Dr. Susan M. Gannon of The Plastic Surgery Group. "It's also beautiful and luxurious, particularly in the new spa area. The goal is to meet all of our clients' cosmetic needs in one location, and to provide an experience that they can't find anywhere else."
Collectively, the 6 board-certified plastic surgeons at The Plastic Surgery Group (www.theplasticsurgerygroup.net) in Albany bring more than 130 years of training and experience to patients seeking medical spa services and plastic surgery in Albany, Saratoga Springs, Clifton Park, Schenectady, and Troy. Located at 455 Patroon Creek Blvd., Suite 101, The Plastic Surgery Group believes "Confidence is Beautiful " and is committed to providing patients with a pleasing cosmetic experience from start to finish.
