Dexter A. Harris, CLF, Named a VIP Member of Worldwide Who's Who for Excellence in Insurance Services

    ATLANTA, November 1, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dexter Harris Vice President of Southeast Operations for Aflac, was recently named a VIP member of Worldwide Who's Who. This special distinction honors individuals who have shown exceptional commitment to achieving personal and professional success.

Mr. Harris has 13 years of experience in insurance, having recently become a vice president of Southeast operations for Aflac. He is a natural leader, and is responsible for managing the company's development, sales, and profit and losses. Mr. Harris also oversees 9,000 field partners and 80,000 B2B clients on behalf of Aflac, and he grows sales through innovative tactics. Says Mr. Harris, "I give guidance for how to go from point A to point B. I believe in small changes to get where you want to go... I am innovative and believe in teamwork and collaboration." Mr. Harris attributes his success to his strong belief in collaboration. He became involved in his profession because of his entrepreneurial spirit, which is how he got his start in the insurance business.

As the vice president of Aflac Sales Academy and National Sales Recruiting, Mr. Harris is responsible for designing strategy and providing oversight for a world class sales development program that enables rapid progression of new agents, high agent retention and tight alignment with Aflac sales strategy and objectives. Mr. Harris is responsible for the overall implementation of field force training programs and services, as well as the design and direction of all aspects of Aflac's National Sales Recruiting.

Mr. Harris joined Aflac in 1999. Over the past 14 years, he has held the positions of associate, district sales coordinator, regional sales coordinator, training manager, strategic sales consultant, state sales coordinator of Florida South Central, Southeast territory director, and his current role as business development executive at Aflac Benefits Solutions. Highly recognized as a coordinator for numerous national, territory and state conventions, awards, and incentives, he achieved MPI multiple times in each role and qualified for multiple FAME awards and Presidents Club. He earned a bachelor's degree from Georgia College and State University in Milledgeville; he is also a chartered leadership fellow as designated by The American College.

Mr. Harris proudly supports Children's Healthcare of Atlanta as a Circle of Care member. Other charities close to his heart include Big Brothers Big Sisters and The Boys & Girls Club.
