MARBLEHEAD, MA, November 08, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Karen and David Rosenberg were recently honored at Cohen Hillel Academy's 25th Annual Gala event. The sold-out Gala at the TD Garden in Boston featured a performance of the multi-platinum album singer, musician and songwriter Josh Groban. Prior to the show a dinner reception in the Rosenbergs' honor was held at the Legends Club. Hillel Academy's Gala 2013 was attended by over 500 supporters who also celebrated 25 years of Gala performances that have brought the community together in support of the school.
Both Karen and David grew up on Boston's North Shore and have been active members of the Cohen Hillel Academy family for many years. Their three oldest children are graduates of the school. In addition to Hillel, the Rosenbergs have contributed their time, expertise, leadership, and resources to many other institutions, including Congregation Shirat Hayam, Combined Jewish Philanthropies and Marblehead for Teens. As the president of Prime Motor Group, David also supports numerous charities through his corporate endeavors.
Bob Goldman, president of Cohen Hillel's Board of Directors presented Karen and David Rosenberg with the prestigious Dr. Bennett I. Solomon Community Leadership Award for extraordinary commitment to Cohen Hillel Academy and our community, stating, "Karen and David are individuals with vision and passion and our community needs more people like them. Their love for children is their calling card, and the key to their success."
Shelby and Amanda Rosenberg from the Cohen Hillel classes of 2006 and 2008 affirmed, "We are lucky to have grown up surrounded by extended family who have passed down traditions and values instilled by our parents. We were fortunate to attend Hillel where these very values were continually reinforced."
The Hillel Gala serves as the major fundraising event for the school.
