Duane G. LeVine Recognized by Worldwide Branding for Excellence in Chemical Engineering

    COLLEYVILLE, TX, November 11, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Duane G. LeVine, Retired Senior Executive for Exxon Mobil Corporation, has been recognized by Worldwide Branding for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in chemical engineering.

Understanding the importance of a strong educational foundation, Mr. LeVine achieved a Master of Science in chemical engineering and a Bachelor of Science in engineering from Johns Hopkins University. He also accomplished certifications at The New York Academy of Sciences and American Men and Women of Science. Upon completion of his education, Mr. LeVine embarked on a career in research and development in the chemical engineering field which spanned the next 40 years.

Before he retired, Mr. LeVine served as senior executive for Exxon Mobile Corporation. The energy firm provides crude oil exploration, petroleum fuels, lubricants, and petrochemicals, as well as production and mining services. In his position, Mr. LeVine was responsible for directing the fuels research laboratory, managing the gasoline and lubrication process engineering department, and overseeing the synthetic fuels research laboratories. He was Senior Director of Corporate Science Laboratories. Utilizing his expertise in planning, operations management, and research science, Mr. LeVine offered logistics advice to clients regarding the capital budget, international lubricant business, and was manager of worldwide environmental affairs.

Mr. LeVine is the former chairman and chief officer of International Petroleum Industry Environmental Conservation Association, was an advisor to the International Energy Agency, and formerly involved with the United States Air Pollution Research Advisory Committee. Mr. LeVine was also a member of Who's Who in Engineering, Who's Who in Technology, Who's Who in America, and Who's Who in the World. He was inducted into Worldwide Branding as a lifetime member in 2007 and, was chosen as one of their VIP members in 2013.

Mr. LeVine was also inducted into Tau Beta Pi, Phi Lambda Upsilon, and Sigma Xi. He has held 40 worldwide patents, authored or co-authored a total of 51 publications, and had a laboratory named after him at the Johns Hopkins Engineering School. He feels his success can be most aptly attributed to his education and lifelong pursuit of fundamental understanding.

Away from the demands of his work, Mr. LeVine enjoys studying history, appreciating music and art, playing tennis, and coaching football. He is married to his lovely wife Patricia and has six children.
