Ms. O'Neill is in a unique position to oversee a wide range of tasks for the NSW Ministry of Health
SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA, November 11, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Anne C. O'Neill, Associate Director of Medical Research for the NSW Ministry of Health, has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in clinical research.
With three decades of practiced experience in her field, Ms. O'Neill is in a unique position to oversee a wide range of tasks for the NSW Ministry of Health. During the past six years, in her capacity as associate director of medical research, she has led the development and implementation of major policies and programs to enhance medical research capacities across the region. In addition, she ensures that these policies and programs are in line with the NSW government's commitment to significantly increase funding to the research sector.
Prior to obtaining her current role, Ms. O'Neill was the research and development manager at The Children's Hospital at Westmead for more than 10 years. Her prior experiences in the field, along with her education, allow her to excel within the industry. In 1993, she attended UNSW for a Bachelor of Science in physiology and pharmacology. Presently, Ms. O'Neill is pursuing a master's degree in clinical research from The University of Melbourne. In pursuit of this degree, Ms. O'Neill wrote her thesis, with a focus on the role of collaborative cultures in the translation of medical research into health outcomes and policy.
Ms. O'Neill remains professionally affiliated with the industry by way of the Australasian Research Management Society, where she is a member of the professional development committee. In the next five years, she expects to see an upward trend in her professional career.
