Virginie Coulloudon Showcases Professional Accomplishments through Worldwide Branding

An accomplished professional with more than 15 years of experience with media, academia and strategic communications, Dr. Coulloudon is passionate about freeing people from corruption in government, business and civil society. Her extensive background showcases a distinct set of qualifications that make her the ideal candidate for her new position with Transparency International, a non-governmental organization dedicated to fighting corruption worldwide and promoting transparency in all organizations and governments. In the course of her duties as group director of external relations, she is responsible for developing strategic communications, press, publications, online communications, and campaigns. Prior to joining Transparency International one year ago, Dr. Coulloudon held various positions at the international level and in broadcast media, including spokesperson and head of press and public information at the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), broadcaster and editorial writer with Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty's Russian Service and several director positions at Harvard University and RFE/RL.

The recipient of a Ph.D. in cultural history, from the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales, Paris, Dr. Coulloudon is a published author of three books and has appeared at numerous lectures and conferences at Harvard University, Princeton University, Brown University, Columbia University and Johns Hopkins University, to name a few. In 1991 she authored one of the first documentary films on the Soviet mafia. Dr. Coulloudon became involved in her profession because her previous experience as an investigative journalist led her to an interest in preventing organized corruption. She feels her success can be most aptly attributed to her creativity, dependability, and resilience. When she is away from her duties, she enjoys cooking for friends and family. In the near future, Dr. Coulloudon intends to continue fighting against corruption with a renewed approach in communications.
